I grew up in a small, seaside town in the South-East of England. While I can arguably say that I benefited from a middle class upbringing, I wouldn’t say it was easy, in fact many of my friends have described it as traumatic. I studied Government and Politics at University and qualified as a secondary school teacher in 2005.
I have one parent left, he is old, blind and has cancer. Those who are closest to me refer to him as “Angry Dad”. This is a loving term, as he is one of the loveliest (and most difficult people) that I have ever met.
I live in the same town I grew up in. I never took a gap year to Thailand. I have no children (wouldn’t mind some, but that’s a whole other blog). I’ve been in a variety of relationships ranging from the most to the least committed. I’ve been in 4 car accidents. I never had a My Little Pony as a child.
